There are three different bars, a beautiful outdoor undercover beer garden, top quality meal deals for the budget traveler in our cosy restaurant, our famous "Friends With Benefits" VIP guest discount card for use within the hostel, SETANTA & FOX sports action shown on our BIG screens daily 7 days a week, pool tables, a CASINO gaming lounge if you're feeling lucky…. plus free entertainment & activities 4 nights a week from Wednesday to Sunday, between the hours of 6pm & 11pm. Entertainment on offer ranges from some of the best local & national live acts, themed parties, crazy games, movie nights, Dj's + much more! Expect a little noise during these times but all in all it's a bit of fun seeing we are a major venue in the city & it is finished early for the early birds to still get a good night's sleep. Situated right in the heart of Cairns CBD, Shenannigans Hostel is part of the "Iconic & Historic" Shenannigans Pub established 1926. Originally known as the "Commercial Hotel" in the 1920's the pub has a long local history & heritage spanning 85 years, which is why it has become such a popular watering hole with the locals & travelers alike for almost a century. The building still to this day has some of its original fittings which gives it that character & charm. All this and more within walking distance to all facilities there really is no better place to be.

Hostel Reception is open 8:00am to 8:00pm Monday to Friday and 9:00am to 7:00pm Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. On site 24 hr security.
