The Youth Hostel San Frediano is located in the very heart of the old town.
Our beautiful building was recently restored and can host up to 140 people in comfortable rooms spread across three floors. It also has a restaurant where breakfast and dinner are served, as well as garden with an amazing view to the ancient city walls.
There is free parking and free Wi-Fi for guests, plus a restaurant and bar service on the ground floor. Linens are included in the price, with towels available for rent.
During your stay, you can relax in one of our four large common rooms, watching TV or reading a book and enjoy the atmosphere of a peaceful place. You can also visit the town and its major interesting landmarks, which are just a short walk away.
Lucca is a perfect base for touring all around Tuscany, being a short distance from Florence, Pisa, Viareggio and the coast, Siena and San Gimignano.
Please note, if you are not a member of Hostelling International there is an extra charge of €3 per person per night, payable upon arrival. Once you've stayed for six nights at a HI Hostel you become a HI member, and no extra charges apply for future stays.
