Our hostel is located a 10 minute walk from the city center. In close proximity you find the most impressive tourist attractions such as the cathedral from the 13th century and the castle from the 16th century. Uppsala is a tranquil daytime alternative to the capital, Stockholm, with a delightful river-cut centre.
The hostel is located at walking distance from the bus- and railway station, from which you can reach Stockholm-Arlanda International airport in 18 minutes and Stockholm in 40 minutes. The hotel is also easy to reach by car and there is free parking in the area.
Facility:
Our bright and spacious Winter garden is the largest Hostel lobby in Uppsala. A natural meeting point where to enjoy the Happy Hour free coffee, a magazine or play some billiards.
We have 44 rooms some have windows facing the winter garden and some are facing Kvarntorget Square. All our rooms have coffee and tea making facilities and free WIFI. Some rooms are also suitable for wheelchair users. We also offer beds in one of our 3 dorms. Male, female and mixed dorm is of option). Our whole facility is no smoking area.
Restaurant Kvarntorget is situated in the building. Within a 5 minute walk you find plenty of other restaurants and pubs. If you prefer to prepare your own meals, there is a fully equipped common kitchen in the hotel. There is also a common washing machine and tumble dryer available. Washing powder can be bought in the reception. In the same building as the hotel you will also find a convenience store, hairdressers, face- and body therapist and masseur.

Directions From the Railway Station / Bus Station
(including airport train and bus):
Walk across the railway tracks and then towards the Concert- and Congress Hall. Take a right on Vaksalagatan and continue about 300 meters. Then go left on Torkelsgatan and continue about 100 meters. Uppsala Vandrarhem (hostel) is located on your right hand side. Our address is Kvarntorget 3.
