Le Tour Traveler's Rest Youth Hostel is located in the downtown area of Shanghai and just 10 min's walk from the Subway and Airport City Terminal. The hostel is set back in a quiet residential side street away from the hustle and bustle. IYTC, ITIC, HI Hostel card holders enjoy discount.

The building was built in 1930s as a towel factory. When renovating the building we tried to salvage and re-use as much as we could from the old building - much of the furniture, flooring and panelling that you see in our guest rooms and common areas are made from the original timber.

I really find it hard to speak badly of this hostel: the location is great, the staff are great and the beer garden at the top: well it must be great in summer.... But... Renovations at 7am, 7 days a week! I mean 7am!!! Would i recommend you go there now, no. Would i recommend you go there once renovations are completed: YES! Stephen, from Australia ~ 27th Nov 2011
