the property wasn't filthy dirty, but definitely had its share of old stains. the staff person who checked me in was very helpful and friendly, while another staff member wasn't exactly a beam of sunshine when i encountered her. the neighborhood is one that many people consider "unsafe" or something, and i can see how not everyone would feel safe walking around there at night, or even sometimes in the day, but i did fine. it's very central and you have easy access to a lot of things.
