About AAE Amsterdam Youth Hostel Inn
The AAE Amsterdam Youth Hostel & Inn, which is situated near the Dappermarkt market (the most popular street market in Amsterdam) and near the beautiful Oosterpark, is a cool hostel just a short tram ride from the Central Station. It is a great base for your trip to Amsterdam.
Hostel policies
**Check in from 14:00. You are welcome to leave your luggage from 10:00 and on Sunday from 14.00.
**Please remember to provide us with an approximate arrival time upon reservation. We will email you a confirmation within 12 hours of booking with directions, web site, etc. IVA of 5% is not included here and will be payable at check-in.
**CANCELLATION REQUESTS MUST BE MADE BY EMAIL AT LEAST 48 HOURS BEFORE THE ARRIVAL DATE. IF YOU CANCEL LATER OR IF YOU DO NOT SHOW UP, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE WHOLE RESERVATION AMOUNT PLUS THE COSTS OF THE CREDIT CARD PAYMENT.

The hostel, that seemed very bad, was closed and they didn't inform us. 10 min after we rang the doorbell a stoned guy came up and said the owner was sick and they had to close 2 weeks ago!! (before we made the reservation...), we had to find another one (the horrible one at the side) at 22.00 in the night and arrived late at our date... antonio, from Italy ~ 16th Nov 2009

The room was a bit dirty, but we got a room with private bathroom, thou we have paid for room with shared bathroom. So that was really nice. Remember that you can ONLY pay in cash. The man who showed us the room, was very nice to tell us what to see, and where we could eat in the neighborhood, and also what places we should avoid.
