Music is the thing in The BackStage Hotel Amsterdam. A brand new music hotel on a great location in the city centre next to the venues Paradiso, Melkweg, Sugar Factory etc. You'll feel like a star when playing your own music on the I-pod docking station, while sitting on your drum kit seat and the spot light is on YOU! When you are outside the hotel all main stages are just a few steps away. As are the restaurants, bars, clubs and museums. Our full licensed bar is has a pool table and a free internet terminal.

Free Wifi is complementary in all rooms and whole hotel is non smoking! ((as regulated by the government July 2008...)
You can play Guitar Hero in our bar, try some guitars or shoot pool.

Please be aware that the stairs are steep and unfortunately we do not have an elevator.

Room prices are excluding 5.5% City tax and there's a 2% surcharge on credit card payments.

Breakfast buffet including coffee, tea, juices etc. is Euro 6,50 per person per day.
Wireless is available free of charge, the reception provides you with the login code.
There is a guest computer @ the bar which you can use free of charge as well.
All rooms have a guest safe, LCD TV (with cable) alarm clock radio, and I-pod dock so you can play your own music.
The hotel is staffed 24/7. The bar is open 24/7 for hotel guests only.
We have some instruments (piano, guitars, bass etc.) which you can use @ the bar.
You can play Guitar Hero and Band Hero @ the bar or shoot some pool.
There are different music magazines you can read @ the bar.
For early arrivals; just leave your luggage at the desk. On check out day you can store your luggage as well with us.

You can take the bus No. 197 at Schiphol Plaza (Airport) It will it drop you off at the Leidseplein, it only takes 35 minutes and the cheapest way to get to the BackStage Hotel!
From the Leidseplein you walk into the Marnixstraat and cross the bridge, we're on the right corner!

Located Near

We are located in the city centre. Just 1 block away from the Leidseplein.
All major venues are within 3 minutes walking distance: the famous Paradiso, Melkweg, Maloe Melo, Cave, Bourbon Street, Alto and Last Waterhole.
The BackStage is also next to the theaters Krakeling, Bellevue, Stadsschouwburg and Nieuwe De La Mar theater.
All major museums are within 10 minutes walking distance: Rijksmuseum (Dutch National Museum), Van Gogh Museum Anne Frank House and Stedellijk Museum (reopening 2011).
