When we arrived it seemed they had over booked and we ended up in an apartment about 5 minutes away from the hostel. The apartment was not clean, all the pillows had stains on them and light switches we covered in grime. Everything just needed to be cleaned! The bathroom wasn't terribly clean, and there was not a shower curtain, watch your step. The location was good, a short walk to everything. The breakfast provided was good, not what we are used to in America, but good.

Very institutional. Good facilities, good beds. Kind of a strange crowd when I was there. TVs in the rooms. Right in the middle of Amsterdam's action. A decent place to stay.

Staff is really friendly. Is not located in the best place of the world, like the red light district is a few minutes away, but the museums and the heineken experience are all about 35-40 minute walk from the hotel, bt if you don´t mind walking, and getting lost (lol) is ok. Shower was incredibly clean. I would def go back there again.
