Hostel Croydon is located in the centre of Amsterdam with Dam Square on one side and the Red Light District on the other side. Royal Palace is also a few steps away. Central Station is a 5 minute walk from the hostel and all other attractions are easily accessible. Anne Frank's house, the Van Gogh museum and Rembrandt's house are all within walking distance. The area is full of coffee shops and canal tours. There is a free walking tour available from Sandemans New Europe, leaving the check-in desk at 10.45am every day. The tour is available in English and Spanish and takes approximately 3 hours. Experience the wonders of Amsterdam, the tulips and cyclists, old art, cheap beer, museums and squares, the wonderful canals and much more. The hostel rooms were renovated in 2009 and all rooms are equipped with a TV and have their own bathroom. You will not be charged before your arrival. Cancelation policy - guests must notify the hostel of any cancellations 72 hours before arrival by email only. |

If you step out of the Central Station, follow the road in front of you called Damrak (this is the main street from Central Station). Once you're on the Damrak, take a first left walking towards 'The Grasshopper'. Take a second right and you're in the Warmoesstreet. Here, on the left side, you'll see 'Hostel Croydon' at number 75.
Located Near
Dam Square is a two minutes walk away and a great place to get your bearings. From here you can head west to Anne Frank's house, south to the Van Gogh museum and east to Rembrandt's house. There are canal tours galore, coffee shops left, right and centre and exhibits that will make your head spin.
