Super loud at night. Hard to sleep with the partying crowd at the front desk lisa, from USA ~ 30th Aug 2009

We arrived at the Black Cat and they were completely disinterested in booking us in. We had a reservation for 2 nights in a 6-bed dorm, and had payed a 10% deposit online. They then told us for the second night we were actually going to be in a 16-bed dorm, so we left the hostel and lost our booking fee. The staff are arrogant and unhelpful, and for the price, you can find a lot of better options around Antigua. So, beware, don´t pre book online and pay anything, as they won´t honour the booki Eddie, from England ~ 21st Jan 2009
