Ostello Domus Augusta
The hostel domus Augusta is a recently renovated building with 92 beds divided in 29 family rooms (for 2, 3 and 4 persons). Very functional and clean structure, few meters from the archaeological roman site, near the seaside of Grado and only 1h1/2 from Venice.
The rooms are simple and clean. All of them are with private adjoinig bathroom.
The base floor has a multipurpose room with automatic vending machines for cofee and hot beverages, for cold drinks and snacks.
In front of the entrance there is a nice courtjard.
Aquileia is listed in the Unesco art cities, still retains many monuments of its past, particulary important are the ruins of the Forum, the remains of the river port, the bell tower and especially the Basilica with its beautiful mosaic floor

Located in Via Roma 25, in the center of Aquileia, 100 mt from the town hall. Arriving from the main road (via Julia Augusta) in the way to Grado, you have only to turn right at the Archaeological Museum. After 300 mt you find the Ostello Domus Augusta.
It's very close and easy to reach from the Airport of Trieste, 10 minutes by bus from the railwaystation of Cervignano del Friuli from where you can reach Venice and Trieste.
Only 10 km. from Trieste's airport, Aquileia is well connected by public transport both to Trieste and Venice, as well as a good stop-by on one's way to Austria, Slovenia and Croatia. The sandy beaches of Grado are only 10 minutes by bus, 15 by bike, where in summer speed boats connect to Trieste and Croatia.
