Planning to have fun, meet the local culture and the best places to see? Black Cat Hostel is the right choice for you! Near to the hostel you can find the most important touristic places like the Government Palace, the Congress Building, the Cabildo, the first train station in South America, the Independence House and plenty more. You also have a lot of restaurants, banks, boutiques, bars and pubs in the area.

We have shared dorms and private rooms available with comfortable beds (with or with a/c). There's a TV room where you can see some of our DVD's or just watch cable TV, a beautiful courtyard to relax, a fully equipped kitchen, free internet access and free WiFi.

Our hostel is at the centre of the historical downtown, there's no need to take a bus to see the most important spots. And if you feel like party, we have the best advice for that. Asuncion has a crazy nightlife and we're sure you will enjoy every moment here, but we have to warn you... you may never want to leave!

From the BUS STATION you can take the buses number 31 or number 8 to the downtown (centro) and ask the bus driver to stop at Independencia Nacional, you will get off in front of the hostel.

From the AIRPORT you can also take a bus, line 30, but always ask the driver if the bus goes to the downtown, in that case ask him to stop at Independencia Nacional, the bus passes in front of the hostel.

If you don't have problems with spending more you can take a taxi, all taxis have a meter so you don't have to worry about negotiating the price with the taxi driver. The average rates are 10 US$ from the bus station and 25 US$ from the airport.

From the Plaza Uruguaya just have to walk 3 blocks to get to the hostel (check our map).

From Ciudad del Este or Foz do Iguazú you can take a bus to Asunción, there are buses everyday and is a 5 hours trip.

From Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo you have also buses everyday to Asunción, and is a 18 and 20 hours trip respectively.

Located Near

The hostel is situated in a great location in the centre of the historical downtown so there's no need to take a bus to see the most important spots. We are close to the main historic buildings like the Cathedral, the old Train Station, the Congress and the Government Palace.

If you like partying Asunción has lots of pubs and clubs where you can party the whole night long, and most of them are just a few minutes walking from the hostel, you can also enjoy the Asuncion Pub Crawl every friday!
