Please inform the hostel of cancellations by 5pm the day before you are scheduled to arrive in order to avoid any charges to your credit card. Our rates are $22 per night for HI members. For non-members, there is a $3 daily membership fee. There will be a $5/night fee for special events. HI-Austin is obligated to charge a 15% Lodging Tax on all stays. This will not be included in the confirmation email you receive from Hostels.com. A government-issued photo ID must be presented at check-in. |

HI-Austin is located 2 miles (3km) from downtown Austin and the live music scene.
Hostel is on the south shore of Town Lake and East of Interstate 35. South Lakeshore Blvd. runs between East Riverside and Pleasant Valley.
If driving, take exit # 233 from I-35 and go east, then take first left on Lakeshore Blvd.
City bus (Capitol Metro) available from Greyhound Bus Station (take Bus #10 South to Red River & 18th; transfer to Bus #20 & exit at Burton & Riverside); Airport (Bus #100 to Burton & Riverside); University of Texas (Bus #7 North or LS or NR shuttle).
Bus stops are 5-7 minute walk to hostel.
