With views of the lakes and mountains, each unique room at Keel Lodge is named after a fishing lure, and features an en suite bathroom. Some rooms also enjoy extras such as a feature fireplace or original stone wall.
The in-house chef freshly cooks breakfasts every morning, with a varied breakfast menu featuring award-winning local meats, free range eggs, and organic vegetables from the garden. Three-course evening meals can be enjoyed, as well as picnic lunches for a day out, barbecues for warm days, or even cooking lessons from the chef.
Hiking or biking can be arranged on some of the best trails in Europe, The Greenway noted for scenic coastal and mountain trails is a short drive away or Croagh Patrick mountain.Horseriding, or play a round of Golf are just some of the other activities that are all within a few miles from us. Book a cookery workshop with the qualified In-House Chef, suitable for 2-6 persons.
Keel Lodge property is steps away from Lough Mask in South County Mayo. We're a couple miles from Ballinrobe and Partry and neighbour towns include Westport (by the sea) and Castlebar. Galway is easily accessible by public transport 40km away. Ryanair now flies to Knock airport which is 45mins by car, serving flights from Spain, France, Italy, Germany, UK, Canary Islands.
Located in a Special Area of Conservation, the surrounding beauty of the countryside offers numerous walking trails as well as fishing on the lough, which features wild Brown Trout, as well as pike and perch. Knock International Airport is 45 minutes' drive away, while Croagh Patrick Mountain is 30 minutes away by car.

From Dublin take the Galway Road N6 Motorway. Take the road to Casltebar called the Headford Road. Follow signs for Ballinrobe takes approx 40 mins. Come into Ballinrobe town follow traffic one way. Then take the N84 towards Castlebar Road at the junction crossing. Pass Ballinrobe Racetrack on Left. Pass over Keel River Narrow bridge. Directly after crossing the bridge take the next left small road signposted Aghinish (see sign).Follow this small road, vearing left at the fork. Follow this road for one km and we are a two storey house with a green front door on the right.
