Visitors to Dolmen Lodge are immediately impressed with spectacular views of Galway Bay and the Burren Our 100 acre farm, much of it limestone pavements, has been designated as a special area of conservation. It is a botanist's and geologist's delight where Arctic and Alpine flowers grow side by side. From May onwards these exotic flora can be seen to best advantage. Our guest rooms are tastefully furnished with tea and coffee making facilities, tv and free wifi. Both dining room and sitting room overlook a colourful garden. Our base is ideal for walking or cycling the Burren. There is a variety of walking trails and loop walks. The Wood Loop trail runs through the farm to Ailwee Cave. Information is available to assist with guided and non guided walks. |
