Banff International Hostel
Welcome to the Banff International Hostel! We strive to provide a comfortable stay to someone looking for simple and quite accommodations while enjoying the wonderful scenery in the Banff National Park.
Whether you are a long-term traveler, first-time tourist or someone alike, the Banff International Hostel provides simple, comfortable and clean accommodation.
We just newly re-open in July 2012. Our hostel used to be the old Samesun hostel. We have 24 guest rooms/dorms.
We are in the process of building a communal kitchen and is expected to be finished by Aug 2012. Currently, we have some simple cooking utensils and appliances set up at the front lobby which guests are welcome to use.
Our front lobby is open 24/7 and we have a courtyard where guests can relax in on a hot summer's day.
We also offer weekly and monthly rate.
Trips and tours can also be booked through us, please come to the font lobby to ask.

From Calgary downtown: The Greyhound Bus which will drop you off at the Banff Train Station.
From Calgary Airport: The most convenient and most frequent bus is the Banff Airporter and it will drop you off directly on our doorstep. The Brewster Airport Express is a slightly cheaper option and includes free Wi-Fi; but it runs less frequently. The cheapest is the Greyhound from downtown Calgary, but you will need to take public transit or a taxi to station downtown.
From Vancouver, Kelowna, Kamloops, Revelstoke:
By bus, the only choice you have is Greyhound which drops you at the Banff train station.

Getting to the hostel from the Bus/Train station:
Walk down Elk St. to Marten St and turn left. We are at the end of Marten St. on the left hand side, just past the Best Western. It's about a 10 minute walk altogether. A taxi will only cost you about $10.
Driving from the east or west:

Please get off at the exit that says Lake Minnewanka and turn towards town. We are on the main stretch of Banff Ave just past the Delta Hotel, right before the corner with Marten St.
Situated conveniently just off Highway One we are just a couple blocks away from the heart of downtown.
There are 3 ski-hills accessible from here, the closest being only 10 minutes and the furthest about 45 minutes.
You can also reach the Sulphur Mountain gondola and the Upper Hot Springs by bus.
