Welcome to Tailek\'s House BKK! We are a guesthouse/home-stay, not a hostel :] We\'re glad to welcome those interested in seeing a part of Bangkok that few tourists have yet to discover. If you\'re looking for a Thai home-stay style experience that is not KhaoSan Rd & not Sukhumvit, this is it :]Our comfortable rooms have A/C, lockers, access to large bathrooms with 24hr hot water & include bedding/linen and towels. Guests can relax in our ground floor cafe/lounge, read books & travel guides from the library, make themselves a stellar meal or snack in the communal kitchen. We enjoy making Thai food together every Sunday night and random other times as well. Possible to arrange a local Thai cooking experience with Bee as she loves to bring guests to the local Thai markets for ingredients and then cook amazing traditional Thai foods together. Wi-Fi access is available throughout the whole house.

Directions & Map can be found here: http://map.tailek.comArriving from the airport, taxi is simplest & often most economical. Explaining to a taxi driver that you want to go to 'Ratchada Soi 17' will get you within blocks of the guesthouse. We are located directly across from the entrance to Inthamara soi 30 - though we are located on the main road & not down that soi/small road. Taxi from airport is about 200-300baht. Always use meter in Bangkok taxis :-)If arriving via MRT/Metr, get off at either Sutthisan or Huai Khwang & hop on the back of a waiting motorcycle taxi. Tell them 'Inthamara soi 30' & they'll drop you off directly across from the guesthouse for 20-25baht. We are located between MRT stations 'Huai Khwang' & 'Sutthisan' just off Ratchada soi 17. The guesthouse is located directly across from the entrance to Inthamara soi 30.Other options include bus, airport train, tuk-tuk & walking :]

We're within walking distance of Huai Khwang market & many other shopping areas, restaurants, malls, temples, lots of stuff! Our area has a unique blend of traditional Thai culture with modern conveniences. Especially suited for those looking to experience Bangkok's more local way of living instead of typical commercial spots frequented by tourists. However, reaching most other parts of the city is a matter of minutes via MRT/Metro, BTS/SkyTrain or other convenient local transportation options.
