The Alternative Creative Youth Home is located in a beautiful heritage building, right in the heart of the city, just 100 metres from Plaza Catalunya and walking distance to main attractions. The hostel provides comfortable, clean and air-conditioned rooms in a newly refurbished classic modernist building. Services include free internet access, fully equipped kitchen, laundry service and more! Our purpose is to provide accommodation to people who come to Barcelona for a cultural and affordable visit. We are not interested in receiving guests who are in Barcelona purely for excessive drinking. We are a "fun", not a "party hostel". Hostel policies: We do not accept guests younger than 16. This hostel is more suited to those under the age of 40. Cancellation requests must be made at least 48 hours prior to the day of arrival. If you do not show up for your reservation or do not contact us in advance, we may charge the first two nights of the accommodation cost to your credit card. Make your way to Plaza Catalunya (Metro + Airport shuttle bus), from there to Ronda Universitat 17 (entresòl-3). Ring the middle bell on the bottom row with the small silver point. As we are located in a historical building, our hostel sign is inside the building, so just look for number 17 in Ronda Universitat and ring the indicated bell. Thanks From Estacion de Norte (main bus station): take metro L1 (red line) to Catalunya stop (if you come from Girona Airport with a Ryan Air bus, you will get out at Estacion de Norte). Fantastic location, right in the heart of the city, within 100m from Plaza Catalunya, 150 meter to La Rambla, walking distance to many important locations. 7 minutes to Casa Batlló , 15 minutes to Casa Mila, 30 minutes to Sagrada Familia, 10 minutes to Barri Gotic. 17 minutes to the Port and 35 minutes to the beach. You can find supermarkets, post office, metro, bus, pharmacy, almost everything in less than 5 minutes walk from the hostel. Make your way to Plaza Catalunya (Metro Catalunya + last stop of the Airport shuttle bus). From there walk northwest to Ronda Universitat 17. It's only a two-minute walk from Plaza Catalunya to the hostel.
As we are located in a historical building, our hostel sign is inside the building, so look up high for number 17 in Ronda Universitat.
