We are all backpackers like you, inspired on our journeys, we dreamt about opening our own house to share the travelling experience with other people.

In Mambo Tango you will have a familiar, friendly and young atmosphere where you will find us the whole day.

Mambo Tango is located in Poblesec, a multicultural district, in the city centre. It is just a few minutes walk to Las Ramblas and Catalunya square and other attractions! It was established by Toti and Maria, who are backpackers themselves and wished to run a respectful and peaceful hostel for like-minded travellers.

The hostel provides air-conditioned dorm rooms catering for 2, 4 and 8 people rooms with shared bathroom facilities, kitchen, lounge, home cinema, free internet access and more. The hostel has a bar which serves a range of beers and juices and is ideal for conversation with other guests. The hostel also serves "real" espresso coffee!

Come to Mambo if you want to feel at home. Even if you're traveling by yourself you will meet other people and have nice quiet nights, activities, walking tours, good music and STAFF TREATING YOU LIKE FAMILY. We offer activities and parties everyday but we are not a party hostel , so we never make party inside the hostel and we are very strict about noise at nights.
Remember we are happy if you enjoy Barcelona's nights but we are also happy about letting people have a nice rest!!

Payment of balance is by cash or credit card and we have a 48 hour advance cancellation policy.

Cancellation have to be noticed by email. Policy cacellation 48hs in advance.

Located in the heart of the city, few minutes from Ramblas. WIFI, internet, lockers and linen for free!!

Enjoy the city and feel like home at Mambotango. Respect to others is our continuous strengh, this is a hostel where you can sleep and also enjoy! A peaceful and respectful hostel.

Please be very careful about pick pockets in barcelona, they make very good tricks, be aware specially at the metro , plaça espanya and plaça catalunya when you are arriving with all your belongings on you, never leave your bag for a second!!!!! And also at all the tourist atractions!(tricks: they throw sauce on your bag, so you leave the bag on the floor for a second and it's gone! and many more tricks!!! please take care)
Prices are per person per night.

While in Barcelona be sure to keep an eye on all your personal belongs such as your wallet, passport and money - Barcelona has a reputation for petty theft and tourists are a prime target for pickpockets on the metro, on the streets and in restaurants.

The closest metro stop is ‘Passeig de Gracia’, on the Line 3 (Green), exit ‘Arago-Rambla Catalunya’. Please be aware, the ‘Passeig de Gracia’ metro station has 3 different metro lines and a Renfe train network all intersecting at the same stop. If you arrive with any metro or train line other than the Line 3 (Green) you will have a very hard time finding the correct exit. If you do not arrive with the Line 3 (Green) and you exit using any exit other than the ‘Arago-Rambla Catalunya’ exit you could be as far away as 3 city blocks from where you need to be.

The hostel is located between the two main streets Rambla de Catalunya & Passeig de Gracia. As you walk along c/ Arago coming from the street Passeig de Gracia, we are located on the left hand side of the street just after the car park for the Servei Estacio (a home-wares store just next to the hostel). The Fundació Antoni Tapies is on the other side of the street directly in front of the Hostel. It is a red brick building with crazy wires on top! The hostel entrance is the second glass door (with iron bars) after the Servei Estacio. The door has Dolors Junyent Galeria D'Art written on the pane of glass above it. You will see the Hostel sign with the Sant Jordi logo on the wall to the right of the door.

Coming from EL PRAT AIRPORT (BCN Airport):
• Take the Aerobus from the airport to Plaza Catalunya. When you get off the bus in Plaza Catalunya you will be in front of the Corte Ingles building (a very large department store, the size of the entire city block).
• Facing the Corte Ingles building, with your back to the street, go to your left. You will be going up the street Passeig de Gracia.
• Continue walking up on the right hand side of Passeig de Gracia for 5 city blocks (4 blocks if you walk on the left-hand side) until you come to the street c/ Arago. It is the street just after you pass the Casa Batllo (on the left hand side). Go left on c/ Arago.
• Walk on the left hand side of the street (c/ Arago) until you come to number 268. It is just across the street from the very large and hard to miss, red-brick building with strange wires all over the top of it (Fundacio Antoni Tapies). The door has Dolors Junyent Galeria D'Art written on the pane of glass above it. You will see the Hostel sign with the Sant Jordi dragon on the wall to the right of the door.

Coming from GIRONA AIRPORT:
• Take the Barcelona Bus from the airport to Barcelona Nord Bus Station (final destination).
• Now follow the directions for “Coming from Barcelona Nord Bus Station” (below).

Coming from the BARCELONA NORD BUS STATION:
• Once at the Nord bus station you can either take a taxi to the hostel (not too expensive because it's not so far from the hostel) or go with the metro. The metro stop is in the small park just next to the bus station and is named ‘Arc de Triomf’.
• The metro line at the ‘Arc de Triomf’ stop is the Line 1 (red). Take the train that goes in the direction ‘Hospital de Bellvitge’ until the stop named ‘Catalunya’.
• When you exit the train at the “Catalunya” stop you will have to transfer to the metro line 3 (green).
• With the metro line 3 (green) you need to take the train in direction “Trinitat Nova” until the stop “Passeig de Gracia”.
• When you exit the train at the ‘Passeig de Gracia’ stop you need to follow the signs that say sortida (exit) ‘Arago’. As you come closer to exiting the metro station the sign will say sortida ‘Arago-Rambla Catalunya’. This will bring you to the exit that comes out on the corner of Passeig de Gracia and c/ Arago almost directly in front of the Casa Batllo. It is very important that you exit in front of the Casa Batllo. There are many exits for this metro stop and if you exit in the wrong place you will probably get lost.
• Once in front of the Casa Batllo, facing the Casa Batllo with your back to the street, go to your right. The first street you come to will be c/ Arago.

Coming from SANTS ESTACIO Train Station:
• Inside of the train station you will need to find the entrance to the metro. It is at the opposite end of the train station from the McDonalds.
• Take the metro line 3 (Green) in the direction of “Trinitat Nova” to the stop “Passeig de Gracia”.
Go left on c/ Arago.
• Walk on the left hand side of the street (c/ Arago) until you come to number 268.
