Sant Jordi Diagonal is perfectly located in the heart of Barcelona on one of the best known streets of the city, Avinguda Diagonal. The impressive and unique art nouveau building in which the hostel is located is an outstanding introduction to the beauty and artistic history of this amazing city. We are just a 15 minute walk from Plaça Catalunya and Las Ramblas and only one block from one of the principal metro stations of the city. Located at the top of Passeig de Gràcia and just below the hippest neighborhood in Barcelona (el barrio Gràcia) some of the coolest bars, restaurants and shops in Barcelona are literally across the street. On top of all of this, we are within walking distance of many of Barcelona's main attractions: La Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera and La Casa Batlló, all of which were designed by the world famous modernist architect Antoni Gaudí. Our hostel has a friendly and informal atmosphere. With us you can be assured to relax and enjoy your stay. Also, if you came to Barcelona hoping to experience the famous night-life we have just the thing for you. Several nights a week we organize special outings to some of Barcelona's most popular restaurants, bars and clubs. This is a free service we provide for your enjoyment. We are famous for our parties and this is the best way to experience the renowned night-life of Barcelona and get to know some of the other guests in the hostel. We are professionals and this is our job, so come along and enjoy the fun! If you're not up for the party and you decide to just stay in for the night, no worries, our relaxed and friendly atmosphere makes it easy to meet new people and get a good night sleep. The bedrooms vary in size from 2 bed private rooms to 8 bed dorms. They all have good-sized bunk beds with the sheets, pillows, blankets and lockers included in the price. Laundry facilities and towels are also available for a minimal additional fee. We have a fully-equipped kitchen that you can use day or night, a large dining area, and a comfortable living room with a huge TV, movies, games and books. We also have three computers providing free 24 hr. high-speed internet access and free wifi. Our young and friendly staff is happy to provide you with all the maps and tourist information that you will need - sightseeing, transportation, restaurants, nightlife and anything else you need or want to know about the city. As we are travelers like you, we know what you want out of a hostel and will do all we can to make you feel comfortable and make your stay in Barcelona unforgettable. ***Check In Information - Very Important*** Reception is open from 08:30 a.m. to 00:00 p.m., Monday to Sunday. The nearest metro station is just two blocks from the hostel. The name of the stop is Diagonal and it has connections to two different metro lines: the line 5 (blue) and line 3 (green). The only trick is that the Diagonal metro stop has several exits and the directions given below will depend on which exit you take.
Coming from Girona Airport and Nord Bus Station:
Take the Barcelona Bus from the airport to Barcelona Nord Bus Station (final destination).
Once at the Nord bus station you can either take a taxi to the hostel (not too expensive because it's not so far from the hostel) or go with the metro. The metro stop is in the small park just next to the bus station and is named 'Arc de Triomf'.
The metro line at the 'Arc de Triomf' stop is the line 1 (red). Take the train that goes in the direction 'Hospital de Bellvitge' until the stop named 'Catalunya'.
When you exit the train at the 'Catalunya' stop you will have to transfer to the metro line 3 (green).
With the metro line 3 (green) you need to take the train in direction 'Trinitat Nova' until the stop 'Diagonal'.
When you exit the train at the 'Diagonal' stop you need to follow the signs that say sortida (exit) 'Passeig de Gracia-Pau Claris'. This will bring you to one of the exits that come out on the street Passeig de Gracia.
Once standing on the street Passeig de Gracia you should be able to see a large obelisc standing in the middle of the roundabout at the intersection of the streets Passeig de Gracia and Avinguda Diagonal. It is a huge intersection and a very large obelisk so it should be fairly easy to find.
Walk up to the intersection of Passeig de Gracia and Avinguda Diagonal and go to your right on Avinguda Diagonal. You need to cross to the opposite side of the street!
Walk for one block and look for number 436.
Coming from El Prat Airport (BCN Airport):
Take the Aerobus from the airport to Plaza Catalunya. Once in Plaza Catalunya take the metro line 3 (green) in the direction of 'Trinitat Nova' until the stop 'Diagonal'.
When you exit the train at the 'Diagonal' stop you need to follow the signs that say sortida (exit) 'Passeig de Gracia-Pau Claris'. This will bring you to one of the exits that come out on the street Passeig de Gracia.
Once standing on the street Passeig de Gracia you should be able to see a large obelisk standing in the middle of the roundabout at the intersection of the streets Passeig de Gracia and Avinguda Diagonal. It is a huge intersection and a very large obelisk so it should be fairly easy to find.

Coming from Sants Estacio Train Station:
Inside of the train station you will need to find the entrance to the metro. It is at the opposite end of the train station from the McDonalds.
Take the metro line 5 (blue) in the direction of 'Vall d�Hebron' to the stop 'Diagonal'.
When you exit the train at the 'Diagonal' stop you will need to follow the signs as if you were transferring to the line 3 (green). You are not actually going to change metro lines. This is only to help you to find the correct exit so that you come out of the metro onto the street Passeig de Gracia.
You will go through a long corridor with automatic walkways. As you come to the end of the corridor (where the automatic walkways end) take the exit immediately to your right.
Once standing on the street Passeig de Gracia you should be able to see a large obelisk standing in the middle of the roundabout at the intersection of the streets Passeig de Gracia and Avinguda Diagonal. It is a huge intersection and a very large obelisk so it should be fairly easy to find.
Walk up to the intersection of Passeig de Gracia and Avinguda Diagonal and go to your right on Avinguda Diagonal. You need to cross to the opposite side of the street!

Located Near
We are within walking distance of the most famous Gaudi buildings; Sagrada Familia cathedral, La Pedrera and Casa Batllo. Just one block from one of the most important streets in Barcelona: Passeig de Gracia, where you can find lots of restaurants, bars, shops and tourist attractions. Only 15 minutes walk to the central square: Plaza Catalunya which is just above the famous La Rambla!
