Here Be Dragons is a bar, restaurant and guesthouse overlooking the Sangker River. It's a peaceful place, where travellers can hang out after a day exploring Battambang's gorgeous countryside, or unwind for a few days after the hustle of Siem Reap or Bangkok.
We have a characterful late-night bar where you can grab a beer or cheap cocktail, listen to decent music, and share tales of your travelling adventures with other backpackers. Or, if you just want a bit of peace and quiet to read a book or email friends, then swing in a hammock in our beautiful garden and feel your cares and worries slide away. The dorm has six beds, at $2 each a night. Or you can choose to stay in one of our private rooms for $8-$10. Our lovely cooks can make good cheap basic food like fried rice or noodles, or more adventurous dishes like deep-fried prawns and spicy salads. And they cook a great Full English. A main meal costs between $1.75 and $4.5, so whatever your budget, come visit us at Here Be Dragons, set down your bags, and relax into a more Cambodian pace of life.. |

This property has specific Terms & Conditions.Opening at 7 AM, although if you arrive earlier than that you'll often find someone around. We serve food all day, until 9pm.
All our rooms are fan rooms, and most are cold water only.

If you are arriving by moto or tuk tuk, ask the driver to drop you at Here Be Dragons - if he says he doesn't know where we are, tell him we're near Wat Sangker, next to You Can School.
If you're walking from the bus or boat station, head for the river then turn right and walk along it until you get to a bridge opposite a stationery shop. Cross the bridge and turn right again, and you'll see our sign - if you reach another bridge you've gone too far!
