The Accademia Carrara (with works by Botticelli, Mantegna, Raffael, Tiepolo and Canaletto) and the GAMEC Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art are on the same road (a five minute walk away). It takes 10 minutes to walk to Città Alta (the 'Upper City'). On the way up you can stop at a park with panoramic views of the mountains (Parco Sant'Agostino) or walk around the fortified walls offering spectacular views of the city below. The nearby square (Piazza Delfino) features a pizzeria, a corner shop, two cafés, a new pizza takeaway and a general food store. Numerous shops, a supermarket and a renowned ice-cream parlour can be found at the bottom of Via San Tomaso.
