Lesnaya 7 is a TRULY SPECIAL PLACE in tune with its beautiful surroundings. It owes its second name – SURYA NAMASKAR HOSTEL – to the sunlight flooding it in the morning and calling the early risers to greet the new day and set out to explore Baikal’s scenic trails.
We tried to do our best to create an atmosphere of tranquility and rest and make it a perfect getaway from the turmoil of the city.
What we offer:
- accommodation In HEATED WOODEN CABINS
- DOUBLE ROOMS PERFECTLY SUITED FOR COUPLES and those who like to enjoy the peace and quiet of a private space
- ONE OF THE BEST VIEWS in the village

From the central bus station take minibus to Listvyanka village (1 hour trip, minibuses run all day long).
From Listvyanka you can take a regular boat ('Voskhod', goes on schedule*, 30 minutes trip) or you can walk on foot. There`s no need to buy tickets in advance, you pay onboard.
A walking tour takes about 4-6 hours (18 km), you can find the detailed route on the Great BaikalTrail website - http://greatbaikaltrail.org/en/node/938
Attention! Before hiking to Bolshie Koty you have to obtain a National Park permit. The office is located at Gorkogo street, 2, on the right side of the main road from Irkutsk. If costs 100 rub per person per day. If the office is closed just take a picture of the locked door to show it to national park rangers if they stop you.
As you've reached Bolshye Koty village find a ferry pier and follow the shore line further. Take the first street on your left - it's Lesnaya St. Keep walking until you see the sign "Lesnaya 7" on the left (white on blue). You are there!
