Seadragon Backpackers is a small hostel with just six rooms. Set in a Regency building with tons of character and quirky corners we pride ourselves on offering a clean, well run hostel for those who visit our wonderful, vibrant city.
Our six rooms consist of 1 double room, 4 four bed mixed dorms and 1 mixed twin room. We have new wooden bunk beds (no squeaky metal here!) and they all have incredibly comfortable memory foam mattresses and great pillows.
Our basement kitchen was voted by Lonely Planet as ‘Best Hostel Kitchen’ and is open all day and night. We have a huge fridge freezer, space to sit, eat and socialise with other guests, pots, pans and everything you need to cook – just as if you were at home and everything is kept clean at all times.
Our cozy lounge is also open all day and night and there you will find television, games, book swap and comfy sofas.
We provide linen and will make up the bed ready for your arrival, free towels on request, free WIFI throughout the building. We also include breakfast of eggs, cereals, breads, jams and tea and coffee. Tea and coffee is available all day, breakfast from 07:30 to 11:00.
Our checkout time is 12 noon and check in time is from 1pm.
We are a ten minute walk from the city centre and just 30 seconds from the seafront. Right around the corner from us you will find 24 hour supermarkets and convenience stores as well as late night food places and plenty of awesome pubs. Brighton train and bus stations are also nearby.
Other hostels in Brighton and Hove may be a few pounds cheaper but with us we promise our guests that there are no hidden costs and our priority is you!
If you are a booking of 8 people or more or a stag group, different terms and conditions such as a required deposit may apply – please contact us before booking and we will get right back to you.
We cannot accept bookings from those under the age of 18 unless accompanied by an adult over the age of 21 and only if the group has sole use of the room. We retain the right to refuse all bookings made with those aged under 18.
Our cancellation policy is three days. If you cancel within two days of the arrival day we charge for the first nights stay. In the event of a no show we charge the full amount due.

We have restrictions that apply to those guests aged under 18, please contact us before booking. We retain the right to refuse any and all guests aged 17 or under so please check before you book!
Our cancellation policy is 7 days. This means that unless stated otherwise you have until 1pm 7 days prior to the arrival day to cancel with no charge.
Cancellation within this 7 day period will result in 50% of the outstanding amount being taken.
If you cancel on the day of arrival or do not show up for your reservation then 100% of the booking amount is owed.
For bookings of more than 7 nights or those that exceed £200 in value we will pre- authorise your card for 50% of the total amount due two weeks prior to arrival. This means that we will check your card to see if it is valid and to see if you have the funds available.
For group bookings of 8 guests or more we require a 10% deposit payable at the time of booking.
We reserve the right to pre-authorise any card at any time for £1 in order to ensure its validity.
We reserve the right to charge an amount for intentional damage to our property. Unauthorised late check outs and lost keys will also incur a reasonable charge.
We may pursue those guests who fail to pay the agreed amount by any legal means necessary.
We do understand that things happen that can be out of your control, talk to us! We are human! As a small business, cancellations greatly affect us. Please help us to try and avoid them where possible.'

From Brighton train station we are a 15 minute walk or a few minutes in a taxi (about £6) Exit the station and go straight ahead down Queens road. At the clock tower, turn right and then immediate left on Western Road. Our street will come up on your left and we are 3 doors down.
From Pool Valley coach station we are a ten minute walk. exit onto the beach and turn right, walk until you see our road Waterloo St, we are at the top on the right.
By road we are ten minutes away from all of Brighton's main road access points
We have a great location in Brighton, seconds from the beach and just ten minutes to the town centre.
Right around the corner from us is Western road with it's late night supermarkets, all night convenience stores and food places plus bus stops that service all of Brighton and Hove.
Some of Brighton's best pubs (The Lion and Lobster, The Iron Duke and Robin Hood) are on our doorstep
