Catch a shuttle bus called 'con-x-ion' at the airport and this will bring you straight to our door for approximately $15 to $20, depending on the number of people.
You may also catch the Airtrain from the airport to Roma Street Train Station or South Brisbane Station and we will pick you up from there with our free courtesy bus from 8am-7pm. The train ride takes only 20 minutes and leaves every 30 minutes from the airports, very simple, fast and easy. It costs approximately $17.50.
We have a free pick up from Roma Street Transit Centre hourly from 8am until 7pm. This bus does not run on public holidays.
The driving distance from the airport is about 30 minutes. Walking from Southbank is about 10 minutes whereas walking from Brisbane City is 20 minutes.
Somewhere To Stay Backpackers is located in the laid-baid inner city suburb of West End. An eclectic mix of cafes, restaurants, shops and weekend markets are just a few minutes stroll from the hostel. A multicultural community that offers bohemian and indie vibes.
The hostel is within walking distance to some of Brisbane's cultural and scenic highlights. They include The Gallery of Modern Art, the Queensland museum and Southbank Parklands. At Southbank you can hop on a free ferry and enjoy the views from the river or take advantage of cooling off in the man-made beach. It's not until you look across the river that there is a city at the other side.
Brisbane is a modern city, relaxed and welcoming with the friendly attitude of its people. It mixes shopping, dining and nightlife with large extensive parks and gardens.
