Somewhere to stay is a unique resort style Queenslander house with gardens, salt water pool, courtesy bus and cool verandah's for you to relaxo, chill out, enjoy your breakfast or a drink. The pool/garden area with palm trees offers lounge chairs, hammocks, outdoor games and last but not least... the warm Queensland sun. We organize weekly free barbecues on Mondays, Tuesday's is free popcorn night and pizza nights on Wednesdays. We are a 5 min walk from the coolest cultural district of Brisbane including over 100 cafes, restaurants, bars and nightclubs. We have a variety of clean comfortable rooms starting from $19. Singles, doubles, twins and dorm bed rooms, most of which have en-suites. Please note when booking a private double room, prices are per person so if you specifically want 1 bed or 2 beds, please email us directly to let us know. When booking multiple dorm beds at short notice (1 to 3 days before booking) we cannot guarantee all guests will be in the same room. Please contact us asap after you have booked so we can try and get you and your fellow travelers in the same room together. Catch a shuttle bus called 'con-x-ion' at the airport and this will bring you straight to our door for approximately $15 to $20, depending on the number of people.
You may also catch the Airtrain from the airport to Roma Street Train Station or South Brisbane Station and we will pick you up from there with our free courtesy bus from 8am-7pm. The train ride takes only 20 minutes and leaves every 30 minutes from the airports, very simple, fast and easy. It costs approximately $17.50.
We have a free pick up from Roma Street Transit Centre hourly from 8am until 7pm. This bus does not run on public holidays.
The driving distance from the airport is about 30 minutes. Walking from Southbank is about 10 minutes whereas walking from Brisbane City is 20 minutes.

Somewhere To Stay Backpackers is located in the laid-baid inner city suburb of West End. An eclectic mix of cafes, restaurants, shops and weekend markets are just a few minutes stroll from the hostel. A multicultural community that offers bohemian and indie vibes.
The hostel is within walking distance to some of Brisbane's cultural and scenic highlights. They include The Gallery of Modern Art, the Queensland museum and Southbank Parklands. At Southbank you can hop on a free ferry and enjoy the views from the river or take advantage of cooling off in the man-made beach. It's not until you look across the river that there is a city at the other side.
Brisbane is a modern city, relaxed and welcoming with the friendly attitude of its people. It mixes shopping, dining and nightlife with large extensive parks and gardens.
