Right next to the Lipscani Quarter, in the historical center: Comfy beds, free breakfast and free portion of pasta at 19.00, internet, Wi-Fi and great atmosphere.
East Hostel returns to bring back its high standard of budget accommodation to international travellers. We've moved to a new location, fit for purpose, in the heart of Bucharest and are privileged to offer you for a second time the brand-newest hostel in town.
We have the best location in the city:
-easy access from the main train station (3 stops by subway) and direct bus from both airports
-5 minute walk to the Old Town (the center of Bucharest nightlife)
-3 minute walk to University Square (subway, tram, busses and trolley): direct bus to Baneasa and Otopeni airports, stop for Bucharest City Tour double-decker bus.
-15 minute walk to the famous Parliament Palace (second-largest building in the world)
-lots of restaurants, supermarkets, banks and shops in our area
We have Internet on desktop and Wi-Fi everywhere (including in our interior-yard).
Our bright and spacious mixed dorms feature free big lockers, a personal reading lamp, comfy beds with thick mattresses, fluffy pillows and duvets and a ready-made bed with free fresh bed linen. Each guest gets a key to their room, for extra security.
There's free shampoo, shower gel and soap in our clean and fancy bathrooms.
Other facilities include free breakfast and dinner (portion of pasta), free tea all day, towel hire, hairdryer on request and a free map with city highlights on it. Our common room has a great social atmosphere where you can order discounted drinks and sweets from our bar. There's no lock-out and no curfew.
Our multilingual staff are happy to provide information and tips about what to do and see in and around Bucharest and what to visit next in Romania (including train timetables and accommodation). You can also access our large collection of guidebooks.

Check-in: 14.00 (we have to clean the hostel and make the beds first) Check-out: 11.00 If you arrive early or have a late train, you're welcome to hang out in our common room and use our free luggage storage. Our hostel doesn't provide a self-catering kitchen due to new regulations, but we do provide substantial breakfast and pasta in the evening at 19.00.
