Address: 1067 Budapest (6th district) Szobi utca 5, 3/8a
Unfortunately we do not have an obvious sign outside the hostel, so please make sure that you know the address.
From Nyugati station:
Come out and turn left along Terez Korut. Pass over Podmaniczky utca. When you get to the next corner take a left onto SZOBI (not Szondi) number 5 (the building opposite 'Parazs Presszo' with the orange fire sign) on the top floor. Ring doorbell 13. Please note, as we are in a heritage-protected building, there is no sign on the door.
From the airport:
Get 2 tickets from information and take the 200 shuttle bus headed for Kobanya Kispest. Get the blue metro line to Nyugati. Take the exit at the metro marked Terez Korut and see above directions.
From Keleti rail station:
Exit the station through the main entrance and follow the building round to left left to the bus stops. Get on the 73 and get off at Podmaniczky. There is a side road just ahead to your right, walk down there and the hostel will be in front of you at the end of the road. You can also take the red metro one stop (towards Deli) or walk to Blaha Lujza Ter, and then take the tram 4 or 6 to Nyugati. Then see directions above.
From Nepliget bus station:
Get the blue metro line to Nyugati and see above.
Always make sure you validate metro/bus/tram in the machines when you board!
If you are coming in late at night, there are night buses as well as taxis. But only use the official taxi stand located outside of the airport, and even then it may not the cheapest option. Do not pick up unmarked taxis from the street!
Were located within walking distance of the House of Terror, Oktogon, Szechenyi thermal baths, the city park, Andrassy Avenue, St Istvan's Basilica, Freedom Square, the Danube and parliament - all within 10-15 minutes.
For lazy travellers, public transport is in our immediate location; the blue metro (for direct metros from Nepliget coach station) and yellow metro are only a few streets away. The trolley bus and tram are one street away and the night bus route is at the bottom of the road. We even have a direct train from the airport just two streets away!
Were just off the main road which has pubs, cafs, bars, restaurants, 24-hour shops and clubs on it so there is no need to stray far for whatever you need. Despite this, were located on a quiet cobbled side street so you don't have to listen to the noise from traffic.
