Central Backpack King is located at the heart of downtown Budapest, close to the city's best nightlife area and surrounded by famous and historical buildings such as the Houses of Parliament, St. Stephen's Basilica, the National Museum, the Hungarian Academy of Science, the Hungarian Ethnography Museum, Chain Bridge and the Opera House. We are also close to Váci Street, Central Metro Station (Deak Ter), Central Market and several thermal baths.

We have a range of accommodation including spacious dormitories, private rooms and even studio apartments with their own kitchens and bathrooms. Facilities include free internet access, cable television, a kitchen, a common room and a café. Guests are welcomed with a glass of traditional Hungarian palinka.

From the Airport with public transport: cost: 640 HUF (2,1 EUR)
Catch the Repter Bus NR200 which will take you directly to the end of the blue metro line: KOBANYA-KISPEST.

From here take the metro to DE�K T�R... (see below from DE�K T�R)

If you are coming from any of the main train stations (KELETI, NYUGATI, DELI) or International Bus Station (Orangeways-Nepliget station) )take the metro to the central metro station DE�K T�R... Go above ground to the Erzs�bet t�r (little green park, front of the Hotel Le Meridien and Hotel Kempinski).

Standing on the corner Deak t�r and Erzs�bet t�r, facing the church tower of St Stephen�s Basilika walk left and straight diagonally across the park Erzs�bet t�r. You will see a crossing on the corner J�zsef Attila �t and OKTOBER 6. utca. Go straight onto Oktober 6. utca. Walk on the right side of the street until you see a big yellow lighting sign of 'Duran Sandwich Bar'. Right beside the 'Duran Sandwich Bar' you will find the house number 15.

Unfortunately we do not accept credit cards, so please prepare your accommodation fee in cash to pay on arrival (either in Euros or Hungarian
Forints). The nearest cashpoint/ATM is just 30 m further down the street from the hostel. (The conversion is cca. 300 HUF / 1 Euro.)



Also if you decide to take a Taxi, just take the FŐTAXI front of the airport entrence. They will take you anywhere in the city from 6000-7000 HUF/ taxi from the airport. (6000 HUF is around 20 euro).
This way you can avoid to be overcharged.

The Airport Shuttle Minibus costs 2300 HUF (9 EUR)/per person.

For this price they also take you anywhere in the city.
