The Mathias Hostel Budapest is situated in the most beautiful part of the city. Its marvelous panorama sight includes the Buda castle and the hills of the Buda side. The building has four floors, where there is access to the garden from the ground floor. The other rooms include a small terrace.

We offer 65 rooms to the public, most of them double rooms with 2 beds, but there are also some with only 1 bed too. Every room comes with a seperate bathroom and a big garderobe at the entrance for your numerous luggages. The area of the rooms are 20 square meters, of which 5 m2 is the bath, 2 m2 is the entrance, 1 m2 is the garderobe. The area of the terrace is 4,5 m2. There are smoke alarms in every room, but you may smoke on the terraces. For very large groups we offer our tourist type rooms for up to 20 people.

We run a small Bistro in the hostel, where we can serve you with breakfast and coffee. You can also buy alcohol, chips, chocolate, and everything that may be necessary for a tourist.

You can use the Internet free of charge on new computers, WiFi can be accessed in our main hall and in most of our rooms.

From the railway stations we recomend the following:

From Dli-plyaudvar (Southern Railway Station) take tram 61 until 'Karolina t', then walk up on the 'Alshegy utca'.

From Keleti-plyaudvar (Eastern Railway Station) take bus 7 until 'Ferenciek tere', then take bus 8 or 112 until 'Mszros utca', and walk up ont the 'Harkly utca'.

From Nyugati-plyaudvar (Western Railway Station) take the underground metro 3 until 'Ferenciek tere', then take bus 8 or 112 until 'Mszros utca', and walk up ont the 'Harkly utca'.

From Npliget (International Bus Station) take the underground metro 3 until 'Ferenciek tere', then take bus 8 or 112 until 'Mszros utca', and walk up ont the 'Harkly utca'.

Located Near

Where our hostel located is close to a shopping mall (10 min walk), to a 0-24 grocery shop (3 min walk), to the Gellert-hill (15 min walk), to a park (5 min walk), bus stop (3 min walk). It is situated well so you can reach it by car, by public transportation, by foot and even at night there is a night bus that stops at the nearest bus stop (3 min walk). If you want to reach a taxi, then you just walk out the building there is always a taxi waiting for passengers.
