All amenities are ideally located just a short walk to Cairns Central Shopping Mall. Here you can find two supermarkets, post office, banks, food outlets, cinemas and many shops... The Mall is also used as quick access through to the city centre - check Google maps for our location. We also have a courtesy bus that runs to and from town throughout the day. Tropic Days Backpackers is located in a quiet area, a pleasant 20 minute walk from the Cairns Esplanade through Cairns shopping district.
If you feel like taking it easy, we offer frequent courtesy buses which run to and from town, between 7.30am and 9.00pm daily; making Tropic Days an ideal location to enjoy the city, while you have the option to relax in the peace and quiet we offer.
If you are arriving at Cairns by bus or train we can offer a free pick up service between 7.30am to 8.30pm. Cairns Airport has an international and domestic terminal, located about 6km from the city centre. A cab from the airport to Tropic Days will cost you about $25, or the shuttle bus costs $10.00 per person and will drop you to our door.

Tropic Days is located at 28 Bunting Street, just off Scott Street. We have a great location being only a 10-min walk to Cairns Central Shopping Centre & 20-mins to the beautiful board-walked Cairns Esplanade. Fantastic opportunities await with lots of Shopping, Restaurants & Bars within a hop, skip & jump of Our Hostel. We have a regular shuttle bus that runs between 7.30am & 9pm dropping our guests directly in the centre of Cairns, City Place.
