The best hostel I have seen in any country! Free internet, free pick up from the airport or shuttle to the pyramids, 15 foot celings from a classy old british building with a cool old elevator, very close to the museum and metro. I would recomend this place to anyone!

Great downtown location. Very close to the Egyptian Museum. Great restaurants only blocks away if you inquire, and also remember to inquire about breakfast because they wont tell you... However, unlike other Cairo hostels this one will not force over-priced tourist traps/excursions.... Don't be discouraged by the entrance/elevator.

this is a cool place to sleep in Cairo, for an unbelievable price 5eur per person, we got room in a perfect location, free internet access, and free airport pickup {although we only stayed 1 night..}...which we found was much more help than we imagined...and the owner is simply great..!!! can recommend to everyone...thanks..bohus

I loved this place so much, I ended up spending almost an extra week in Cairo. The rooms are very nice and clean and the location is convenient to all of the places of interest you would want to visit in Cairo. The staff is so friendly and really knowledgeable about the different types of tours you can take all over Egypt. Whether they are making you coffee or teaching you some arabic, the Meramees feels like a home. Many thanks for making my stay so much fun -- especially to Ash, Doaa, Mus

our stay was great thank the team, always here for help us and give us advices. No doubts i recommand you this hostel for an accomodation in the down town and people for all over the world. Everything is clean, nice and decorated. only problem, they are on the 6th floor, with an old elevator... but we had not problem with...was part of the trip! at least THANK U to the hostel team, you are wonderfull, and make our stay magic (even for poor students like us!!) see you soon!
