DON'T DO IT. PLEASE. We read all the reviews before deciding to stay here. Not sure what experience other reviewers had, but ours was very negative. They didn't pick up us from the airport as confirmed over email, they didn't pick us up from the train station, as confirmed in person. The hostel is dirty, filled with bedbugs and mold. The owner is bullish and unfriendly. He acted like every mistake was our fault, even though we had emails confirming he would pick us up at the airport, e Amanda, from USA ~ 21st Jun 2009

If you dont enjoy to be harassed all the time you might not want to try this place. Hostel is OK, well-located, fairly clear. Atif is too pushy, to the verge of criminality. Whatever he promised, he did... in some loose sense. His intimidation strategy included showing a gun to us or misinforming us about the possibilities in Aswan and Luxor.
