Cambridge can be expensive and budget accommodation is hard to find but at The Abbeyfield Guest House you can find great value for money. Abbeyfield is a relaxing, well-appointed sanctuary for business travelers, visitors from overseas and many college undergraduates and their parents. Abbeyfield is located just 10 minutes walk from the Rail Station and is approximately 15 minutes walk to the City Centre, and there is good public transport close by.

Cambridge is a very Beautiful City with so much to see, from The University Botanic Gardens to any of the many Cambridge University Colleges. Each college has its own appeal for example Kings College has its famous chapel and choir boys then there is Queens College with Sir Isaac Newton’s mathematical bridge or go to St John’s College and take a walk through the Bridge of sighs. You can also see the beauty of the colleges and grounds by taking a trip on the river Cam in a punt. Have a go by yourself or go in style and get a chauffeured punt. The Abbeyfield Guest House is approximately 5 minutes walk from The New Cambridge Leisure centre where there is a Cinema complex, Bowling lots of restaurants including The Lucky Star all you can eat Chinese restaurant. There is also The Junction music venue.

The Abbeyfield Guest House is a Budget guest house offering basic but clean accommodation on a room only basis (no breakfast & shared bathrooms). The majority of the rooms have wash basins in the rooms. We offer free wireless internet access.
We offer free car parking to our guests. All our rooms have complimentary tea and coffee making facilities and color TV. There is a guest dining room, a fridge for the guests use, and we provide cutlery and plates. There is free wireless internet throughout the house and SKY TV in the lounge.

By road:
Cambridge is well served by local and national road networks.
From London or Stansted Airport, the M11 provides the most direct route. From the north the A14 brings traffic from the A1 (M) to the north of Cambridge.
The west and east are served by the A14 running from near Birmingham to Felixstowe.
From M11 Northbound Exit Junction 11 onto roundabout above M11 Take 3rd exit off this roundabout signposted to Cambridge A1309 Follow road through to Trumpington village Take right-turn sign posted A1134 (towards Addenbrookes, Rosie Maternity Hospital, Airport and Cherry Hinton) into Long Road At the bottom of Long Road turn left at the traffic lights into Hills Road At the next set of traffic lights (ignore all the Pelican crossings) turn right into Cherry Hinton road. The third turning on your left is Rustat Road. Abbeyfield Guesthouse is the first house on the right hand side at number 2.
From North or West (A14) Eastbound Exit A1 at Alconbury on A14 towards Cambridge A14 merges into the M11 Southbound. Follow M11 to Junction 11 Exit Junction 11 onto roundabout above M11 Take 1st exit off this roundabout signposted Cambridge A1309 Then as M11 Northbound directions
From A14 Westbound Take exit off A14 signposted Cambridge and Burwell Take 1st exit (A1303) off the roundabout above the A14 Carry straight on along this road straight over the first roundabout At next roundabout take the first exit to the A1134 Straight over 1st roundabout (Sainsbury’s on left) Straight over 2nd roundabout Turn right at the 3rd roundabout onto Cherry Hinton Road Rustat Road is on the right at the top end of Cherry Hinton Road. Once you turn into Rustat Road, Abbeyfield Guesthouse is the first house on the right hand side at number 2

By train:
Getting to and from London is straightforward. Direct trains to Liverpool Street and Kings Cross are frequent from Cambridge and take about 1 hour. It is also simple to get to and from Stansted Airport.There are some direct trains from Manchester and Birmingham; these are cross country and can be slow. From the north, you will need to change at Peterborough and probably Ely.

Located Near

The Abbeyfield Guest is very well situated near to the Railway station, Cambridge Leisure centre, within a few minutes walk from the historic city centre the university, and the world famous Addenbrookes hospital.

A short drive brings you to the fascinating Imperial War Museum at Duxford with Newmarket Racecourse a distance of only 10 miles away.

Cambridge has restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets and there are a number of varied eating places close to the guest house. A list can be provided upon request.

We are ideally situated for access to the M11, A14 and the A10.
For anyone wishing to catch a flight, Stanstead Airport is only half an hour away.
