The University offers over 4,250 bedrooms (over 2000 en-suite rooms including 90 doubles), all of which achieve either a 3 or 4 star quality assessment rating by Visit England.
We offer single and double room accommodation (standard or en-suite rooms) in a choice of halls of residence on the campus on a bed and breakfast basis.
The University of Kent offers an extensive range of award-winning bars and bistros across the campus.
Guests can also take advantage of the excellent on-site sports facilities available which include 2 indoor sports halls, squash, sauna and multi-gymnasium as well as an all-weather multi-activity pitch, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, football, rugby, cricket and hockey pitches. The University has an on-site cinema and theatre.

London (St Pancras) to Canterbury West: High speed trains - journey time approximately 55 minutes. Trains depart on a half hourly basis during peak times. London (Victoria) to Canterbury East: journey time approximately 85 minutes.
London (Charing Cross or Waterloo East) to Canterbury West: journey time approximately 90 minutes.
Travelling from Canterbury East and Canterbury West stations to the campus
From Canterbury East train station: Turn right straight outside the station (do not cross the bridge opposite the station) and follow the road to the bus stop.
From Canterbury West train station: Turn right out of the station entrance and walk along Station Road West. Turn left into St Dunstans Street and cross to the bus stop on the opposite side of the road.
You can catch either the UNIBUS or the Canterbury Triangle service 4,4a and 4b from both bus stops.
From London, the North and East Anglia (via M25 clockwise): Leave M25 at junction 2 signposted A2 Canterbury, continue on A2/M2, leave M2 at junction 7 signposted A2 Canterbury. Follow signs to Canterbury.
From the West and South-West (via M25 anticlockwise): At M25 junction 5 continue ahead on M26(M20) signposted Maidstone, leave M20 at junction 7 signposted A249 Canterbury, join M2 at junction 5 for Canterbury, leave M2 at junction 7 signposted A2 Canterbury. Follow signs to Canterbury.
From the South-East: Maidstone and Tonbridge: M20, A249, M2, A2 Ashford: A28 Folkestone: M20, A28 Dover: A2.
From Canterbury to the campus:
Via A2 eastbound/London: Rheims Way, London Road, Whitstable Road, University Road
Via A2 westbound/A28: Wincheap, Rheims Way, London Road, Whitstable Road, University Road
University Road postcode CT2 7NP. On arrival, follow signs to your accommodation. You will be given a parking permit upon check in, which will advise you of the car parks available to you on campus
As well as visiting the city of Canterbury, you can enjoy a varied sightseeing programme exploring the many attractions of Kent for example Leeds, Hever & Dover Castles, Sissinghurst Gardens, Chatham Historic Dockyard and the seaside resorts of Whitstable and Herne Bay.
