Welcome to 33 South Boutique Backpackers! 33 South Located in central Observatory - the buzzing student neighbourhood of Cape Town best known for it's cultural diversity and cheap (and great!) restaurants and bars. The hostel building is a 120 year old Victorian house which has been renovated and decorated to showcase the best of Cape Town. With each room themed after a different neighbourhood of Cape Town - you can be sure to experience the best of our city.

To top it off, we like to point out the "little things" - high quality white percale linen, a digital safe per person and the most delicious muffins baked freshly every morning for our complimentary breakfast.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
Observatory (Affectionately called "OBS" by it's locals) is the student neighbourhood of Cape Town. It is characterized by cheap beer and good food topped off with an array of artists and musicians that leave you begging for more. It has been compared to Fitzroy in Melbourne, or Palermo in Buenos Aires. There are daily specials available - and you can discover OBS on our DAILY FREE TOUR!
