Muizenberg is located at the Northwest corner of False Bay where the the 20km long flat sandy beach that forms the Northern shoreline of False Bay meets the Cape Peninsula mountain range which runs from Table Mountain in the North to Cape Point in the South. Being at this point where the mountains meet the sea means that Muizenberg is a natural transport bottleneck where roads end and hence it is a well signposted destination at freeway exits and road intersections. So getting to Muizenberg is easy.Amberley Travellers Lodge is at the Southern end of Muizenberg Park, one block up from Main road, on the corner of School road and Amberley road, between the prominent CCFM building and Muizenberg police station.

Muizenberg is a great place to be based when on holiday in Cape Town. It's unbeatable for beach activities. There's easy public transport via a regular commuter train service to the city centre. The Stellenbosch winelands are only 20 minutes drive away and the attractions of Cape Point and the Southern Peninsula are equally close. Some of the best mountain and whale-watching seafront walks start from here. There are excellent coffee shops, restaurants, bakeries and markets.
