Cape Towns newest addition to the backpackers community, The BIG is perfectly perched in Green Point allowing its guests easy access to the best that Cape Town has to offer. Within easy reach are beaches, promenades, the Mother City's CBD and convenient transport to the city.
This beautiful guest house is currently being transformed into the most special and inviting space. With new owners this unassuming house will become the rocking backpackers it is screaming to be.The BIG has a sparkling pool and garden for comfort and relaxation. The backpackers is self catering with a continental breakfast included. There is a communal kitchen and dining area as we'll as an outdoor patio. At present we have 20 double or twin room all en suite. The B.I.G team is always happy to assist you with bookings and information on Cape Town and South Africa. We are currently running an opening special which will run until we relaunch in August 2012. Situated in a tranquil street, nestling below Signal Hill, The Backpackers In Green Point is within a 10 minute walk of the vibrant Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, restaurants, clubs and bars. It has double and twin rooms available for those passing through and others who want to stay a while.Directions:From the airport there are various and super simple ways to get to The B.I.G. You could take the myciti buses to the Green Point soccer stadium. We are situated a block from here and would be happy to pick you up. There are taxi's at the airport who ,for a slightly bigger fee, could bring you to our door step. If you are renting a vehicle take the N2 from the airport to Cape Town central. Once you reach the end of the highway continue straight. Pass 2 traffic lights at your third traffic light which is STRAND street, take a right. Strand becomes High Level rd. Continue up High level and take your first right down Cavalcade rd. Then first right onto Thornhill and we are number 18!
