Situated on a farm just outside Somerset West, the Monkey Manor offers gracious holiday accommodation with warm hospitality. The central location of our guesthouse makes it the perfect base from which to explore the beautiful Helderberg area, including towns such as Strand, Somerset West and Gordon’s Bay. Relax in our colonial-style home, set in a tranquil lush garden, full of indigenous trees & shrubs with abundant bird life. Our accommodation offers attractions such as our picnic area, our own Cheeky Monkey Restaurant and our primate centre (Monkey Town), all of which are just a short walk away. Follow the link below for more attractions... At the Monkey Manor, your comfort and privacy is our first priority. Therefore, we paid an artist’s attention to detail when we decorated our rooms. Situated on the second storey of our guest house, each room has satellite television (DSTV), an air-conditioner for those warm African days, a safe, and either en suite or a private bathroom. The manor is faced in such a way that our rooms are always filled with natural sunlight during the day. Fit for royalty, each room at the Monkey Manor has a double, Queen Size or King Size bed. The linen was selected with care to ensure comfortable sleep and is kept clean and fresh on a regular basis. In total, the Manor has four rooms available to guests. A wireless LAN connection is available for guests who would like to check their email during their stay. Monkey Town Primate Centre Enjoy a day of family fun amongst monkeys, birds and other farmyard animals. Monkey Town Primate Sanctuary is home to over 230 individual primates with 27 different species in total including Chimpanzees, Hamadryas Baboons and Squirrel Monkeys to name just a few. All the primates roam free while you can view them from an enclosed walkway snaking through the park and guided tours are available. Get up close and personal with the monkeys! If you thought Monkey Town was only about monkey's you'd be wrong! Monkey Town is also home to many exotic birds including Cockatoos, Macaws and African Grey's.
