Our hostel is newly opened and is very comfortable.
Our guests have commented that it's more like a hotel except that the beds are mostly bunk style. We have a beautiful garden and our location is in one of the most scenic parts of Ireland, unspoiled and ready for exploring on bike or foot or ideally in a boat or kayak. |

This property has specific Terms & Conditions.Please respect that this is a family home with young children. Inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
We do not accept new arrivals after 9pm.
Payment is due in cash on arrival. Credit cards are only used to secure the room. We also expect to see proper photo ID at registration.
If you are not able to take up your booking, please let us know in good time.
Please try to help us be as green as possible by re-cycling, switching off lights etc.
No animals in the house, not even our own.

By car on the N4:
The new N4 motorway offers easy access from Dublin. From the M50 take the M4, then the N4 to Edgeworthstown, where you turn right immediately after the Park House Hotel. You then continue straight past the villages of Ballinalee and Aughnacliffe. Four miles from Aughnacliffe towards Arvagh, you will pass a large lake - Lough Gowna - on your right.
Lakeside Hostel, Rosduff is just around the bend on the left-hand side with a lot of trees around it and flower planters outside.
By car on the N3:
Alternatively take the N3, travel to Navan, Virginia and before you enter Cavan town turn left at the roundabout and follow the signs for Arvagh via Ballinagh. In Arvagh, turn left at the bank of Ireland and another left. Take Aughnacliffe Road and you will find our House which is on the right one mile out, just before the lake, Lough Gowna.
Distances to main towns: Cavan 20km, Longford 20km, Dublin 85km
By bus or train:
We can arrange collection from Cavan Bus station or Longford Train station in the afternoons only. There will be a fee to cover the cost of petrol. We can also pick you up free-of-charge from our local town of Arvagh, Co. Cavan or Aughnacliffe, Co. Longford. There is a limited bus service to these towns.
Located Near
Located one mile from Arvagh, where the three provinces of Ulster, Leinster and Connaught meet. We're 20km from Cavan town and 22km from Longford town. We're situated on a hill with splendid views of the countryside and overlooking Lough Gowna, one of the largest lakes in Europe.
