Ming\'s Dynasty Hostel is found in the historical city of Chengde, the perfect place for a retreat away from big city life, as Qing dynasty emperors discovered over 200 years ago! Ming\'s Dynasty is Chengde\'s first hostel. It\'s located several minutes walk from the main train station, near Wulie River. Ming\'s Dynasty has recently relocated and is working together with Huilong, a 3 star hotel. Now you can enjoy the convenience of a hostel with the luxury of a hotel! All hostel rooms include air-conditioning, TV, internet access, and ensuite bathroom. There is also a bar & cafe on-site where guests can relax, surf the internet, swap books, and enjoy a drink while meeting new friends. Visiting Chengde\'s UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Summer Mountain Resort and Eight Outer Temples, can easily be done by bus or taxi. Information is provided for free at hostel check-in. **Winter (Nov-March) guests please note: We will not have 24 hour reception during winter. Please let us know if you need to check-in or out between 11pm and 7am. We will be closed Jan 22-28, 2012 for Chinese New Year. Please be aware that shared bathrooms are located across the courtyard and you have to walk outside to access them. |

1. FROM TRAIN STATION: After exiting the train station, turn right onto the main road (Chezhan Lu). Continue walking, about 5-10 minutes, until you reach Huilong Hotel. If you reach the bridge that crosses the river, you've walked too far.
2. FROM LONG DISTANCE BUS STATION: If you are coming from the long distance bus station take a taxi to the hostel (about 20 rmb) or bus 1 or 29 to Xinjuzhai. From Xinjuzhai station, continue walking about 30 meters (in the direction the bus is going) and you will see Huilong Hotel (会龙大厦). Ming's Dynasty Hostel is located inside.
