We were told there was free parking but that was very hard to find. We ended up paying $18 a day for parking. The local transportation was great. There is a bus two blocks away that can take you directly downtown.

Good for people who want to see the Boystown gay neighborhood, or else you can stay in downtown.
Hi Zhiwei,
I hope you have a great time in Chicago. There's so much to do here, especially in the summer months. Chicago neighborhoods are really diversified. Just walk or bike a few blocks and you get to experience a wide range of culture and activities. By the way, lots of exciting changes are coming to The Arlington House, including renovations and new services. We would love to take care of you again the next time you're in Chicago. Have safe journeys - Lori.

Don't stay here! We are now covered in bed bug bites. We gotten bitten up here 2 years ago and figured they would have fixed the problem - wrong. They start off by making you sign a sheet that states their will be no refunds or discounts even if they don't have the amenities they advertised. The staff is unhelpful and its obvious they just want your money. My room was so hot that gum melted in its wrapper and they don't even provide a fan. My lock broke on my door so I couldn't leave in th
Hi Hannah,
I'm so sorry that you had a bad experience at our hostel and really appreciate your feedback. Bed bugs are a problem at hotels and hostels alike, but this year we had a new solution that really seemed to be working. I'll refocus our efforts here. The other issues that you mention are being addressed as I write this. The Arlington House is in the process of renovations and will once again be a great place to stay in Chicago. I'm disapointed that the staff didn't seem helpful and will meet with them to talk about how important our guests are. Again, thanks so much for sharing your feedback and I hope you'll give us another opportunity the next time you're in Chicago. I think you'll find our hostel greatly improved. Have safe journeys - Lori.

It offers ok basic features. Has computer room, computers are slow and out-dated though. Cheap priced vending machines were a plus. Great diversity among guests. Interior is dated aswell. Needs some TLC but for the most part, it was great for the money.
