Just a half-block from the port, is Corrientes first backpacker hostel in town: Bienvenida Golondrina. It is a tranquil destination for migratory golondrinas (swallows or backpackers) to rest before continuing their journey to Iguazu, Salta or Esteros del Ibera.

Its century-old building has been carefully restored. Paintings of the river brighten the lobbys windows.

The property has many quiet sitting areas, interior patios and a rooftop terrace where guests may write letters, read or just relax. The four to six person dorms have sturdy bunk beds with lockers.

The Hostel is located among the cultural and historical core of the city, in front of the Paraná river and half block away from de urban bus terminal called: 'El Puerto'. Most of the public buses end and begin their trips there.

Prices are per person per night.
