The Laughing Lotus Inn in Dali, China

The Laughing Lotus Inn is an American run establishment situated in the less traveled outskirts of the west-side of Dali Old Town. Located adjacent to a gurgling stream (albeit man-made), across from a Taoist temple nestled between Mt. Cang Shan and Erhai Lake.


With our Bai inspired, all wooden room designs we hope to compliment the spirit and warmth of the local hill-tribe people. We offer a western menu (when a break is needed from the local cuisine), free wifi & desktop stations, laundry services, in-room massages and can even help with your travel plans.

Please return room keys at the front desk everyday before leaving the Inn and exploring around Dali.
(Guests will be charged 80rmb for lost room keys to cover the cost of a lock change)

2nd floor guests returning after 12am please take care as to not disturb our sleeping neighbors.

We currently accept cash only as payment.
