The guest house is fully furnished, sleeps 4 and located within walking distance to the hot spots of Dallas.
DART, the public transportation system in Dallas, is within walking distance. There is a bus stop on the corner of the block. The guest house is a great getaway for a single traveler or a couple who wants to walk to the Dallas nightlife from a quiet residential setting.There is a private entrance from the front of the main house to the guest house in the backyard, via a private security gate.The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and eating and includes stove top, microwave, toaster oven and refrigerator.Our guest house is comfortable for one or two people to stay in the bedroom where there is a very comfortable queen bed which includes linens. Extra pillows and blankets are provided. The television in the bedroom includes a library of DVDs and VHS tapes.There is also a queen-size pull-out sofa in the living room that can accommodate one or two more people for an additional fee.Our premium cable TV features extended channels including premium movie and music channels. There is Wi-Fi and a printer available as well as books, magazines, board games, maps, guidebooks and menus of our favorite restaurants.The guest house includes a large bathroom (shower only) and private toilet area. Extra towels and many toiletries are provided, including a hair dryer and curling irons. An iron and ironing board as well as a dryer rack are available as well.Parking is free and readily available on the street in front of the house.The best feature is a wonderful friendly old great dane named Hamish who's happy to say 'howdy'.Dallas is a great place to visit! During spring and fall the weather can be very mild. Summers can be very hot. The temperature in the guest house is personally controlled with AC units, fans and space heaters. The guest house is green and guests are asked to preserve electricity and turn them off when not in use.The guest house is about a 20-minute drive to the new Cowboys stadium in Arlington. It is also close to downtown, Fair Park and the Convention Center.Please keep in mind the owners work full-time jobs and may not be home to personally escort you in but we will leave a way for you to check yourselves in. If you require assistance let us know in advance.The guest house is a great place to stay for budget travelers who want to experience a hotspot in Dallas as a local. It is not a hotel or B&B with a maid service. Guests are politely asked to respect the guest house and clean up after themselves, or contribute $20 towards cleaning. |

Shuttle service is the fastest way to go and is cheaper than a taxi. You need to book it in advance though!From DFW Airport:Walk to Terminal A. Take the 801 Bus towards Remote South Parking. Then take bus number 803 towards Trinity Rail Centreport Station. Then take the TRE to Downtown Dallas Union Station. Then take bus number 24 towards Mockingbird Station via McMillian. Get off at McMillan @ Goodwin Stop, then walk west to 5417 Goodwin Avenue.From Love Field Airport:From the ground level, take the 39 bus towards downtown Dallas. Get off at St Paul @ San Jacinto, then take bus number 24 towards Mockingbird Station via McMillian. Get off at McMillan @ Goodwin Stop and walk west to 5417 Goodwin Avenue.Taxi Information:If you get a taxi, tell the driver that you are going to the M Streets area of Dallas, Knox Henderson Exit off 75 Central Expressway. The address is 5417 Goodwin Avenue, Dallas. Make sure the cab has a GPS system and that they program the address in before you agree to a fare.
