From Airport:
When you arrive at Dublin airport arrivals hall (terminal 1 or 2) various buses are located outside the main arrival hall doors.

Airlink (747) - The Airlink is an express bus into the city centre. It runs from 06.00-23.30 Mon-Sat and 7.00-23.20 on Sundays and goes approximately every 15 mins. The price is €6.00 for a single, €10 for return, €3.00 for under-16s and €5 return for under-16s. Once you’re on the bus, the stop you are looking for is College Green, we are just a 2 min walk from here.

16 – If you want a cheaper option other than the Airlink, you can take the regular Dublin bus, number 16, which leaves from outside the terminal 1 arrivals hall. It will take a little longer as it will make a lot of stops on the way to the city centre but is a good way to save a few euros. The bus runs from 6.50–23.10 on Mon – Sat and 7.40–22.20 on Sundays. The fare is €3.05 and you must have exact change for the driver as they cannot give you change in return and you cannot pay with notes, coins only. Get off the bus at D’Olier Street, the stop is called Ashfield hostel!

Aircoach – The Aircoach is another express bus from the airport which leaves from both terminals into the city centre. It’s a little more expensive (€7 single, €12 return), but it runs 24 hours a day and the bus is a bit more comfy too. There are ticket stands outside the terminals, make sure to tell them you’re going to the city centre. Get off the bus at Trinity College (stops are announced on the bus) and we are a 2 min walk from here.

Taxi – A taxi from the airport will be roughly between €25-€30 depending on the time of day and the traffic.

Bus Station:
Busáras is the main bus station in Dublin for all national bus routes on Bus Éireann (National bus service) although there are other private bus companies operating (See walking directions above).

Train Stations:
There are two main train stations for national routes arriving into Dublin city; Heuston station and Connolly station.

Heuston Station – If you’re arriving in to Dublin by train into Heuston station, probably the easiest way to get to the hostel is to take a left when you exit the station and walk to the Heuston stop on the Luas (tram) line. You can buy your ticket from the machines on the platform. Take the Luas until the Abbey street stop. The names of the stops are well signposted. Once you get off the Luas, follow the directions on the map above.

Connolly – Arriving in to Connolly station means you have just a short walk to the hostel following the direction above.

Ferry Ports:
Dublin Port – Arriving into Dublin port with Irish ferries you can take the express bus (timetable and info here: http://www.irishferries.com/uk-en/faq/dublin-bus-times/) which brings you to Busáras, the main bus station. From there you can walk to Ashfield in 10 min following the directions on the map.

Dun Laoghaire – If you’re arriving by boat into Dun Laoghaire, you can walk to the Dun Laoghaire DART (train) station and buy a ticket to Tara street station at the ticket desk. The train will take about 25-30 mins. Once you get off at Tara Street you can follow the directions above.
