The George Frederic Handel Hotel is contemporary in its décor, yet is steeped in musical history as Handel's famous 'Messiah' was first performed on the site of the hotel in April 1742. The location, on the edge of Temple Bar is ideal as it is a quiet area, yet the hustle & bustle of Temple Bar is right at your side. All that is best in Dublin’s shopping, restaurants, theatres and nightlife is right on our doorstep. Dublin attractions such as Trinity College, Christchurch Dublin, Dublin Castle, and The Guinness Storehouse are all a short walking distance from the hotel. A nearby must visit for any shopping lover is the famous Grafton Street, where you will be spoiled for choice with a huge variety of shops to tempt you! And of course Temple Bar, a lively cultural quarter of traditional cobbled streets, with some of best of the city’s food and beverage outlets, is just a 2 minute walk away. Temple Bar also holds the weekly Saturday food Market where the best of Irish organic food producers and art and craft hand can be found.
At the George Frederic Handel Hotel, we pride ourselves in having one of the best Cafe's & Winebar's in Dublin. Corks @the Handel offer an extensive and tasty menu that will not disappoint! Our Handel bar, offers a selection of wines and craft beers - the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Dublin.
