The hostel was very clean (both bathrooms and bedrooms), very safe. Loved the lockers under the bed, even though they were a little noisy. Staff was very friendly and helpful too! Not as close to Temple Bar area as I thought it would be, but the walk wasn't bad at all. Would definitely recommend it to other travellers!

The staff were fantastic!!! The area was a little sketchy, being a woman alone at night. But convenient to walk and see the city from. A really nice theater down the street too!

Security is excellent. There are lockers underneath the beds. Two spacious common rooms, free TV, kitchen, free breakfast, and free Internet. Staff are friendly. The space is vibrant--two connected houses. Other hostel guests were quite friendly too and there was a mix of ages. Showers and toilets are located on different floors, and it took me ten minutes to find the toilets the first time, so pay careful attention to directions. Showers are good; the toilet area is older, but still clean. Ve

I am definitely not a city person, but I have to say, I did enjoy my stay at the Marlborough Hostel - it was easy to find, clean, the staff were super friendly and helpful and I was comfortably sleeping there. I would recommend it if you're looking for a place in the heart of Dublin.
