Welcome to the Times Hostel - Camden Place! We're a friendly, safe, clean and cosy backpackers' hostel located in Dublin's vibrant Village Quarter just off Camden Street in the heart of Dublin's city centre. We're a five-minute walk to Grafton Street, St. Stephen's Green and St. Patrick's Cathedral and a ten-minute walk to Temple Bar and Trinity College. There are many restaurants, shops, bars and clubs just around the corner. You'll never be short of things to do here! Come stay with us and enjoy tons of free stuff, including free Wi-Fi, free international land-line calls to 40 countries and free continental breakfast, with our delicious pancakes on the weekends! You can get a coffee break 24hrs a day, with free tea, coffee and hot chocolate at any time. There's no curfew either! We've got free welcome drinks, free luggage storage, a big kitchen to cook in, a lounge with TV, book swap, DVDs, board games and a lovely fireplace. Don�t forget to check out our artists' gallery, featuring local Dublin artists. Our free weekly events include a free ice cream party every Monday, free wine and cheese every Tuesday, free dinner every Wednesday (yummy!) and a free tour to Howth every Saturday (seasonal). There's a free walking tour of Dublin every day, plus pub crawls every night and a special Thursday pub crawl with free beer! As if that's not enough, you can get free hugs anytime! We want all our guests to have a great visit to Dublin! Our friendly and experienced staff are on-hand 24hrs a day and are happy to help you out with questions, ideas, discounts to tourist attractions and all the ins and outs and sights of the city. We can guide you to the best restaurants, pubs and clubs in Dublin. Many of them are just around the corner! Linen is free (yes, we'll make your bed), beds are clean and comfy, luggage and laptop storage is free, and you'll find free city maps and tour information at reception. Choose between eleven room types, including dorms with ensuite bathrooms/shared bathrooms, female-only dorms, private doubles/twins with ensuite/shared bathrooms. We're tucked away in a side street just off of Camden Street. Dublin buses and LUAS (Dublin's light rail system) are right outside our door. The 16A bus (one minute away) will take you straight to-and-from the airport. We also provide a shuttle to the airport from the hoste - just ask! From the airport:
The cheapest way to The Times Hostel - Camden Place is on the 16 bus from the airport. It will drop you a short walk from the hostel on Camden Street.
We�re a left-hand turn off Camden Street, between O�Sullivans art store (14/15 Camden St, Dublin 2) and a Ladbrokes betting shop (16 Camden Street, Dublin 2).
The bus fare is �2.65 and you�ll need exact change as change is not given on Dublin buses. Journey time approximately 50 minutes.
The express Aircoach bus provides a 24-hour coach service between Dublin Airport and Dublin city. The Aircoach bus stop is directly outside the arrivals exit at the airport and you can buy a ticket directly from a representative at the airport arrivals stop or from the driver when boarding the Aircoach.
This will drop you off at Trinity College, a fifteen-minute walk from the hostel.
From Trinity, walk down Dame Street and take a left on South Great Georges Street. Aungier Street is the continuation of Georges Street, and Camden Street is a continuation from Aungier Street.
Camden Place is a left-hand turn off Camden Street, between O�Sullivans art store (14/15 Camden St, Dublin 2) and a Ladbrokes betting shop (16 Camden Street, Dublin 2).
By taxi:
Taxis from the airport cost around �25-�35 and take about 30 minutes, depending on the time of day. During rush hour it can take up to 45-50 minutes.
From Busaras bus station:
Follow the tramline west toward O�Connell Street � a five-minute walk.
From there you can take the 16 from O'Connell Street. Get off the bus on Camden Street near O�Sullivans art store and Ladbrokes betting shop.
