The spectacular sun downer roof top sometimes attracts the most talented human song birds to enthrall visitors at this laid back and peaceful homely spot.

So spend your day at the pool, er, sorry, school, do sun downers on the rooftop terrace with its fab view, and jam the blues away, or just sit back and enjoy the sweet sounds. Oh, sorry, or studying backstage. (Ha ha. As if...)

This intimate dorm-free venue has all the usual backpacker facilities plus pots of
wise advice on local markets, concerts and parties.
Prices are per person per night.

Must-Read Guesthouse Info

This is not a big enterprise but quite personal, yet private. The owner who also manages most aspects of the place is approachable and flexible. Anything is possible and any request can be accommodated. Feel free to ask and inquire.

We have an adorable bitch dog Poppet, who keeps us safe and secure. She is not aggressive, but announces any arrival with minimal upheaval.

Should you have any children in your party it is a requirement that they are able to swim as our pool is not fenced.

Located Near

Set in quiet forested suburb of Glenmore. A ten minute walk (1km) from the University of KZN Howard College, and close to Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine and training hospitals. Ten minute drive (4km) to restaurant district and clubs. Just a 15 minute drive (8km) from the city centre and beaches. Inexpensive Zulu minibus taxis are good for that. But having your own transport does come in handy after dark.
